Palm - Clean Protein                                       

Beef, Pork, Poultry (chicken, turkey, duck), Wild Game (elk, deer, hog, etc.), Lamb, Dairy (if tolerated), Cottage Cheese, Soy, Tofu,  Tempeh, good quality/clean protein powder (no fillers)                                                                  

 Unclean Protein: Processed meats, poor quality protein powder with additives, sugar, and fillers


Fist – Fresh Vegetables and Fruits                            

Leafy Greens:  Kale, Collard Greens, Turnips, Chard, Spinach, Mustard Greens, Rapini, Lettuce

Flowers and Flower Buds:  Artichoke, Broccoli, Capers, Cauliflower

Bulb and Stem:  Asparagus, Celery, Chives, Garlic, Fennel, Lemongrass, Leeks, Lotus Root, Onion, Shallots

Fruits:  Apples, Apricots, Bananas, Bell Pepper, Berries, Melon, Gourds, Chayote, Cherries, Cucumber, Dates, Eggplant, Figs, Grapes, Lemon, Lime, Mango, Nectarine, Orange, Peach, Pear, Plum, Pumpkin, Raisins, Squash, Sweet Pepper, Tomatillo, Tomato, Zucchini

Unclean Vegetables/Fruits:  Canned, in heavy syrup


Cupped Hand – Clean Dense Carbs: Whole Grains, Beans, Legumes and Tubers

Whole Grains:  Whole grains ideally means whole grains – i.e. the whole, intact grain seed (rather than processed flours, breads, bagels, noodles and pasta, baked goods, etc.)

Whole or Steel Cut Oats, Brown or Red or Wild Rice, Quinoa, Amaranth, Buckwheat Groats, Whole wheat, Spelt, Kamut Grains, Corn, Millet, Barley

Beans and Legumes:  Chickpeas, Lentils, Kidney Beans, Pinto Beans, Black Eyed Peas, Fava Beans

Tubers:  Potato, Sweet Potato, Yams

Unclean Dense Carbs:  processed  goods (donuts, cakes, sweet breads, white bread, pasta, bagels), chips, alcohol (wine, beer, mixed drinks), sweets, candy, cookies, boxed cereal, ice cream, sugar/corn syrup


Thumb – Good Fats

 Nuts: Almonds, Walnuts, Cashews, Pecans, Macadamia, Brazil, etc., Nut Butters (no sugar added)

Seeds: Pumpkin, Hemp, Chia, Olives, Olive Oil, Avocado, Butter, Coconut, Coconut milk, Coconut Oil

Cold Pressed Oil: Hemp, Pumpkin Seed, Flax, Walnut

Unclean Fats: Canola oil, Vegetable oil, Shortening, Margarine, Lard
