Rest less... Work more.

Many athletes may plan the number of reps they will complete of a given exercise.  For example, you may be doing 30 reps of 135lb clean and jerks for time (i.e. Grace) and you will plan on breaking this into six sets of five.  What is just as important to increasing average power output is your rest cycle.  Try planning on taking four big breathes then picking up the bar again.  The next time you do the workout take three big breathes between gripping the bar again.  Pay attention to your rest cycles, and set goals to decrease them and you will increase your power output.
