Got ankle mobility?

The question we sometimes get is, "What is preventing me from getting into that good bottom position?"  Is it your hips?  Is it your ankles?  In all likely hood, it's probably a combination of both.  KStar has a great way of helping to differentiate however.  Can you get into the bottom position of the pistol without falling over? No, you don't have to be able to do the pistol.  Just get into the bottom position.  If you can't, chances are we need to fix the ankle for sure.
