A big congratulations to our CFE athletes competing this weekend in the “Silly Summer Show Down”! Everyone had a great time and represented CFE well. Matt took 2nd place in the Open Division, Kevin took 3rd in the men’s RX and Christina took 3rd in the Women’s RX division! Great job everybody!!!!!

STRENGTH/POWER:

3 rep max back squat

Heavy back squat test in a controlled time. The build-up section should allow for the starting loads to be at a moderate to a heavy weight. Athletes should get about 2-3 heavy attempts in this timeframe.

STRENGTH/POWER #2:

Make 1 attempt at max rep strict pull-ups

When athletes drop off the bar or range of motion is lacking, the attempt is terminated.

STRENGTH/POWER #3:

1 Mile run time trial
