THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE!

A lot of times, people start an exercise program and judge it's efficacy by how good they feel.  Now, that's great, but how do you know that it's really working?  Are you stronger, faster, better conditioned?  Are you more flexible?  How's your balance, your agility?  Would you see that it works if all of those things were improved?  I bet you would.  But, is that same person HEALTHIER?  Let's take that same person and test their blood work.  How's their cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL and LDL.  How about cholesterol from 167 to 128, triglycerides from 157 to 77, HDL up from 38 to 40 and LDL down from 106 to 74.  Now, let's take all of that and say it can happen in as little as two months time.  Not possible, you say??  Ask Bruce.  Bruce has been here for 2 months.  He's worked harder than he's ever worked in his life, but he's lost 25 pounds, he's faster, stronger, more fleible, better conditioned and according to his blood work, seriously healthier!  He eats well and looks great.  Congratulations Bruce!  You've worked hard and it's paid off.  Keep up the good work.

Bruce isn't the only one either.  Stay tuned.  More to come....

Power is the ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time.  The funny thing about power is that you don't need til you need it; and when that time comes, you better have it or it gets real ugly.  How do you get it?  Squats, cleans, deads, snatches,  jerks, kipping pull ups.... Yeah baby, my kind of party....

Great job this week!
