We’re putting the final touches on the Summer Athlete Camp flyers today and the they should be ready to go out tomorrow. Finishing them up, it takes me back to a question that Britton asked a while back. “What would it take to make CrossFit available to students for physical education credit?” It’s an interesting question and it just so happens that we have “some people in the know” here at the gym, but in the mean time, here are 3 more interesting questions:
- Is there a need?
- Is it possible?
- Is it worth it?
I know what my answers are, but what do you think?

I leave you with the standards from the Colorado Department of Education website:
Colorado Model Content Standards PHYSICAL EDUCATION
1. Students demonstrate competent skills in a variety of physical activities and sports.
2. Students demonstrate competency in physical fitness.
3. Students demonstrate the knowledge of factors important to participation in physical activity
