Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 9:11PM You're not done til you're done....
When was the last time you finished a WOD and collapsed to the ground? How about finished a WOD, then gone outside in hopes that you might get so lucky as to purge? Dumb questions, I know. Maybe a better question is when haven't you felt like collapsing or purging after you just got done crushing yourself?? I've been there, may a time and I know for me that when I get near the end of a workout, sometimes weakness tries to creep in there telling me that I should slow down. It's almost like I set my own limit and when I get close to that limit, my mind tells me that I've given all I have. I'm almost out of gas and I have to fight so that I don't sputter into the gas station. Thing is, my body has more left. My heart has more left. Our minds need tune-ups.
After you get done with your WOD, I would encourage you to not be done. Make up your mind before hand that you're gonna do a little extra afterward. Whether it's a few pull ups, push ups, double unders, a short loop, whatever. Better yet, if you get done and someone else is still crushing themselves, bring 'em home! Then, when they're finished, do your little bit extra together!
6/22/11
Strength:
Shoulder Press 3x5 (Wendlers)
WOD:
15min Amrap (95/65)
5 Thrusters
5 SDLHP
5 Push Press
Then:
25 Double Unders
* Complete the 15min AMRAP of the triplet, then do your 25 double unders
(I thought I'd provide the little bit extra this time...)

It was just yesterday that I thought I had died...hoped to Puke...gave it my all....then I realized Oh! I am still alive! I am just at Crossfit Eaton!
Whoever posted the "Your not done till you done" was reading my thoughts exactly last night @ the 5 p.m. WOD! About half way through the WOD I kept thinking to myself, "I can't do this, I can't finish this!" But of course I did finish it and I will admit I did feel like puking! I guess my motivation is to not "look" like a failure in front of my workout peers and it sure feels good to accomplish something! I am planning on working on "stuff" after class. After that back injury I realized how weak my core is and I need to work on that core as much as possible.
Melissa, your amazing!! You killed the wod yesterday. T you make me so proud of you. You came home beat and still wanted to go walk around the park so you could get a cool down. Awesome both of you.
Melissa- you're definitley alive girl! Feels good, doesn't it??
T- Failure?! Never! You're here, putting it out there every day. Do me a favor and google vince lombardi, field of battle....
Jeff- You're a rock bro and I mean that...thank you...
Thanks Kevin. You trainers have taught me alot about encouragement. It doesn't take alot to keep someone motivated. When a person is giving everything that they have and they feel like they cant give anymore, it's amazing what a little encouragement can do.
I hope you and your family are enjoying Texas.
Truly missed being at CF this entire week. But I will be there Thursday. I was inspired by this post. The author should feel proud to have touched on a topic that has prompted CFers to respond in such a manner. EVERYONE inspires me to keep coming. I am thrilled with the results I see.... but I am even more humbled by the great friends I have made in this journey. THANKS!
Missed you today Bruce. We had to row for 20 min. then run for 20. Well we ran close to your house, but didn't see you around outside. Must have been hiding behind the blinds. Hope to see you next week.
